54OPERATING MANUALVERSION 05/2017 ORDER NUMBER DOC 2354920 SPRINT XE9 TROUBLESHOOTING AND RECTIFICATIONMalfunction Cause RemedyPower indicator does not light up – Mains supply not switched on – Turn on mains.No Corona power supply – 2 AT fuses defective. – Replace fuses.– The connection cable to thepowder spray gun is interrupted.– To replace the connection cable,notify the WAGNER servicedepartment or qualified personnel.– The powder spray gun is tooclose to the work piece.– Switch off the high voltage,increase the distance between thespray gun and the work piece andthen switch the high voltage onagain.Should an error message bedisplayed again, inform theWAGNER Service Department.– The grounding between controlunit and powder spray gun isinterrupted.– Contact WAGNER ServiceDepartmentSputtering powder feed – The flow rate in the powder feedhose is too low.– Increase the total feed and dosingair and readjust the ratio of theairs to each other.– The cross section of the powderfeed hose is reduced bymovement.– Use a powder hose that preventsthe cross section from narrowing(Select a hose with a thicker wall.).– Fluctuations in the compressedair caused by short-termincrease of the compressedair consumption in the supplysystem.– Install compressed air storagedirectly in front of high consumptionsystem components.Dust buildup above the drum orthe powder tank– Too much fluid air. – Reduce the fluid air at the throttle.– The throttle is not connected tothe fl uid air connection of thecontrol unit.– Connect the throttle to the fluidair connection of the control unitand readjust the fluid air volume.Bad wrap around, back-spray – Insufficient grounding – Make sure that all components arewell grounded, see Chapter 6.6"Grounding".
