IEC 61131-9) for connectingboth current digital inputs/outputs and intelligent IO-Link devices to the controllevel. IO-Link devices describe sensors and actuators of the field level that haveIO-Link functionality. The IO-Link technology is predominantly used in the industrial sector ofmanufacturing automation. With IO-Link, configuration, diagnostics andmaintenance from the control are possible to the lowest field level in addition toprocess data communication. For example, sensor failures can be diagnosed andlocalize in the control directly. With central parameter data storage in the IO-Link master and the possibility ofproject development, attached devices can be simply replaced and configurationscopied.Communication occurs via serial point-to-point links in standard 3-wiretechnology. Both data and diagnostic information as well as power supply arecarried over the serial IO-Link interface simultaneously.IO-LinkIO-Link device IO-Link master1423 DI/DOC/QL+L-C/Q4.8 / 38.4 / 230 kbit/sFigure 1: 3-wire connection technology (based on Physics 2 of the IO-Link-specification 1.0.0)Configuration of IO-Link devices is based on standardized description files "IODevice Description" (IODD), which are provided by the device manufacturers andinterpreted in the respective configuration software. Thus, IO-Link devices can beintegrated in current automation systems and network structures independent ofthe bus systems used.At the time of creating this documentation, the IO-Link specificationv1.1_Nov2010 is being assumed into the IEC standard and will be standardized asIEC 61131-9 by "IEC international". The "IO-Link" designation be continued as"Single-drop digital communication interface for small sensors and actuators"(SDCI).Additional InformationMore information about IO-Link is available on the Internet at http://www.io-link.com.Pos: 18 /Dokumentation allgemein/Gliederungselemente/---Seitenwechsel--- @ 3\mod_1221108045078_0.doc @ 21810 @ @ 1
