3.3 I/O Signal Connections3-233 Wiring and Connection3.3 I/O Signal ConnectionsThis section describes the names and functions of I/O signals (CN1). Also connection examples by controlmethod are shown.3.3.1 I/O Signal (CN1) Names and FunctionsThe following table shows the names and functions of I/O signals (CN1).(1) Input SignalsNote 1. The allocation of the input signals (P-OT, N-OT, /SI1, /SI4 to /SI6) can be changed. For details, refer to 3.4.1Input Signal Allocations.2. If the Forward run prohibited/ Reverse run prohibited function is used, the SERVOPACK or converter is stoppedby software controls, not by electrical or mechanical means. If the application does not satisfy the safety require-ments, add an external circuit for safety reasons as required.• The number of pins on the CN1 connector is different on a large-capacity Σ-V SER-VOPACK (50 pins) and a standard Σ-V SERVOPACK (26 pins). If you are using bothtypes of SERVOPACK, use the correct connector model numbers when ordering andthe correct signal assignments.• Regarding the allocation and use of I/O signals, they differ in accordance with theconnected option module. For details, refer to the manual for the command optionmodule that is connected.Signal Pin No. Name FunctionRefer-enceSectionP-OTN-OT4243Forward runprohibited,Reverse runprohibitedWith overtravel prevention: Stops servomotor when movablepart travels beyond the allowable range of motion. 4.2.2/SI1 41 Command optionmodule input 1Connects the external input signal used in the commandoption module. −/SI4/SI5/SI6444546Command optionmodule input 4Command optionmodule input 5Command optionmodule input 6Connects the external input signal used in the commandoption module. −/SI0 40 General-purpose inputsignalConnects the external input signal used in the commandoption module. −+24VIN 47 Control power supplyfor sequence signalControl power supply input for sequence signals.Allowable voltage fluctuation range: 11 to 25 VNote: The 24 VDC power supply is not included.3.5.1BAT (+)BAT (-)2122Battery (+) input signalBattery (-) input signalConnecting pin for the absolute encoder backup battery.Do not connect when the encoder cable with the battery caseis used.3.7.24.5.1/P-CL/N-CL/DBANSCan beallocatedForward externaltorque limitReverse externaltorque limitDynamic brake answersignalThe allocation of an input signal to a pin can be changed inaccordance with the function required. −
