E6-7INSPECTIONLOWRI53500-0IMPELLER1) Visually inspect the impeller for cracks, distor-tion or burning. If any damage is found, replacethe impeller.I54009-0OIL-SEAL COVER1) Using a soft brush and solvent, clean the oil-seal cover.2) Visually inspect the cover for cracks or corro-sion. If a crack and/or excessive corrosion isfound, replace the oil-seal cover.I54500-0GEARS1) Visually inspect the teeth and dogs on thegears for cracks, peeling or distortion due togear-crashing. If damage is found on any of thegears replace with new one.I55000-0BEARINGS1) Inspect the bearings for pitting, scratching orrumbling (which may be detected by turning thebearing by hand), and replace them if they arenot in good condition.155500-0CLUTCH DOG AND COMPONENTS1) Visually inspect the clutch dog, looking particu-larly for rounding of the dog edge, cracks andother signs of damage or wear. If the dog isexcessively rounded, inspect also the matinggear, and replace both if necessary.
