Full advanced position1) Remove the magneto control rod.2) Install a dial-gauge in the spark-plug hole ofNo.1 cylinder.NOTE:For easy timing-plate adjustment, it is advisable toremove the spark plugs from all the cylinders.3) Slowly turn the flywheel CLOCKWISE, andstop it when the piston is at TDC.cCBe sure to turn the flywheel clockwise, or theimpeller blade will be twisted the other way,thus reducing pump performance.4) If the end of timing plate is not aligned with theTDC mark on the CDI magneto rotor, loosenthe timing plate set screw, align the timing plateend with the TDC mark, then tighten the screw.NOTE:After tightening the screw, paint over the screw-head to discourage tampering with the adjustment.
