Install the new gasket 9, exhaust innercover 0, new gasket q, exhaust outercover w, and then tighten the exhaustcover bolts e to the specified torques inthe sequence as shown.8. Tighten the crankcase bolts and nuts tothe specified torques in 2 stages and inthe sequence as shown.9. Slowly turn the crankshaft. If it does notturn smoothly, remove the connecting rodand replace any parts as necessary.NOTE:To remove the connecting rod, refer to page5-24.10.
