Measure the lighting coil resistance.Replace the stator assembly if out ofspecification.Checking the Rectifier RegulatorNOTE:Do not use the peak voltage adapter whenmeasuring the output peak voltage of theRectifier Regulator.1. Remove the cover.2. Connect the digital circuit tester positiveprobe to the Rectifier Regulator connec-tor 1 and connect the negative probe tothe ground.GG/W68880170GG/WGGBRGRBG/WG/WG/WG/WRG68880050R1Lighting coil resistance(reference data):Green(G)–Green/white (G/W)0.36–0.54 Ω at 20°C (68°F)3. Measure the Rectifier Regulator outputpeak voltage. If less than specification,measure the lighting coil output peakvoltage. Replace the Rectifier Regulator ifthe output peak voltage of the lighting coilis more than specification.4. Remove the Rectifier Regulator from thepower unit.5. Connect the digital circuit tester to theRectifier Regulator.6. Check the Rectifier Regulator for continu-ity.
