Allow the engine tocool. There will be fuel in the fuel filter. Keepaway from sparks, cigarettes, flames orother sources of ignition. This procedure will allow some fuel tospill. Catch fuel in a rag. Wipe up anyspilled fuel immediately. The fuel filter must be reassembledcarefully with the O-ring, filter cup, andhoses in place. Improper assembly orreplacement could result in a fuel leak,which could result in a fire or explosionhazard.If the water separator-alert indicator on the6Y8 Multifunction tachometer blinks, performthe following procedure.F40H, F50H, FT50J, F60F, FT60G(1) Stop the engine.(2) Remove the top cowling.(3) Remove the plastic tie.(4) Disconnect the water detection switchcoupler.
