INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS4-12123456789101112MENU screen.ERS indicator “ ” (YZF-R1M)This icon shows the current ERS mode.(See “YRC Setting” on page 4-15 and“ERS” on page 4-18 to change the reg-istered ERS mode or adjust ERS set-ting levels.)TIPThe ERS indicator will flash should theSCU need to be reset, but this does notindicate a malfunction. The suspension will remain fixedat its most recent settings until theSCU is reset. To reset the SCU, stop the vehicleand turn the key to “OFF” then“ON”.GPS indicator “ ” (CCU-equippedmodels)This icon comes on when a GPS unit issynched with your vehicle.Logging indicator “ ”(CCU-equipped models)This icon comes on when vehicle datais being recorded via the logging func-tion.Lap timerThis stopwatch function measures andrecords up to forty laps. On the mainscreen, the lap timer shows the currentlap time and lap number (indicated bythe LAP mark). Use the PASSING/LAPswitch to mark lap times. When a lap iscompleted, the lap timer will show thelatest lap time (marked by the LATESTindicator) for five seconds.To use the lap timer1. Short push the wheel switch. Theinformation display item will flashfor five seconds.2. While the information display itemis flashing, rotate the wheel switchupward. The lap timer will flash forfive seconds.3. While the lap timer is flashing, longpush the wheel switch to activatethe lap timer or stop the lap timer.4. When the lap timer has been acti-vated, press the PASSING/LAPswitch to start the lap timer.TIP Set the information display toFASTEST or AVERAGE for addi-tional lap time information. Accessing the MENU screen willautomatically stop the lap timer. Whenever the lap timer is stopped,the current lap will not be record-ed. The lap time record can be viewedand reset from the MENU screen.Oil pressure warning “ ”This icon, along with the oil pressureGPS1.
