Forexample, if your call is answered by an automated attendant thatrequires that you enter information from your telephone keypad, youmust typically enter the information using DTMF dialing.Through a FeatureCodeTo change from pulse dialing to DTMF during a call:1 Press the Talk button.2 Press Feature + 891.The telephone’s display panel shows the < character and your connectionis switched from pulse to tone (DTMF) for the remainder of the call.When you hang up, the port you were using on the Analog Line Cardreverts to pulse dialing mode.Through a MappedButtonYour administrator can map a button on your telephone so that you canpress the button to change from pulse dialing to DTMF during a call.When you hang up, the port that you were using on the Analog LineCard reverts to pulse dialing mode.Through a PersonalSpeed DialYou can configure a personal speed dial in the NBX NetSet utility to dial anumber in pulse dial mode and then to switch to DTMF. Use the leftangle-bracket character (<) in the NBX NetSet utility as the command toswitch to DTMF mode. You can also include the digits that you want thesystem to dial after it switches to DTMF. The system dials any digits afterthe < using DTMF tones.
