NoteAction Note1.-Danger!Turn off all electric power, hydraulic andpneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!2. If the upper rod is removed, secure the linkwith a roundsling in a crane. Use the hole inthe middle of the link.This is done in order to prevent the linkfrom moving if the upper rod also is beingremoved.3. Remove the lock nuts holding the lower rodat each end.Shown in the figure Location of lower rodon page 126.4. Remove the support washers. These can stick to the grease and caneasy be forgotten and lost when removingthe lock nuts.Shown in the figure Location of lower rodon page 126.5. Remove the lower rod. Note! The support washers on the insideof the rod can stick to the grease of thebearings when the rod is being removed.Remove them from the rod!6. Remove the support washers and thesealing rings and remove residual grease.Action Note1. If needed, replace the bearings.Use a press sleeve.Note!
