1MRS 752263-MUM Motor protection RelayTechnical Reference ManualREM 61057As soon as the recorder has been triggered and the recording has finished, therecording can be uploaded and analysed by means of a PC provided with a specialprogram.4.1.10.2. Disturbance recorder dataOne recording contains data from the four analogue channels and up to eight digitalchannels. The analogue channels, whose data is stored either as RMS curves or asmomentary measured values, are the currents measured by the relay. The digitalchannels, referred to as digital signals, are start and trip signals from the protectionstages, the alarm signal from stage θ>, the motor start-up signal and the digital inputsignals linked to the relay. The user can select up to eight digital signals to be recorded. If more than eightsignals are selected, the first eight signals will be stored, starting with the internalsignals followed by the digital input signals. The digital signals to be stored areselected with parameters V238 and V243; see tables 4.1.15-5 and 4.1.15-6.The recording length varies according to the selected sampling frequency. The RMScurve is recorded by selecting the sampling frequency to be the same as the nominalfrequency of the relay. The sampling frequency is selected with parameter M15; seethe table below for details.Table 4.1.10.2-1 Sampling frequencyNominal frequencyHzSampling frequencyHz Cycles50 800 250400 50050 1) 400060 960 250480 50060 1) 40001) RMS curve.Recording length:s[ ] CyclesNominal frequency Hz[ ]-----------------------------------------------------------------=Changing the setting values of parameters M15, V238 and V243 is allowed onlywhen the recorder is not triggered. The post-triggering recording length defines the time during which the recordercontinues to store data after it has been triggered. The length can be changed withparameter V240. If the post-triggering recording length has been defined to be thesame as the total recording length, no data stored prior to the triggering will beretained in the memory. By the time the post-triggering recording finishes, acomplete recording will have been created.
