For this functionality the password file can be reset, uploaded and downloaded viathe RTU500 series Web server. The corresponding user interface can be found under the link "UserManagement" in the menu item "Management". The figure below shows the user interface for thepassword file management in the tab "Password File".Figure 21: Menu tab password file managementTo reset the password file to factory default the button "Reset" has to be used. When pressed adialog appears to confirm the reset. After confirmation with "Ok" the default password file is activedirectly. A reset of the RTU500 series is not necessary, but all users are logged out and a re-loginis required. After the reset all user accounts and passwords are reset to the default values. Thatmeans the re-login must happen with a default user and password.For the exchange of a password file the file must be downloaded from an RTU first. This is doneby selecting the button "Download" in the tab "Password File". When pressed an information statusbar appears like shown in the figure below. To save the downloaded password file on the host PCselect the button "Save".
