ATLAS is an Integrated Access System withthe most extensive support of dedicated bandwidth management and accessswitching in the industry. The ATLAS_800PLUS is a high performance version of the ATLAS 800. TheATLAS_800PLUS contains a high-performance CPU, more memory, and powerfulcommunications drivers which allow the support of optional applications such asframe relay. With the ATLAS 800 PLUS, you can consolidate your voice, data, and video appli-cations into a single platform while optimizing wide area bandwidth and reduc-ing equipment costs. The ATLAS_800PLUS architecture and the chassis’ eightexpansion slots allow for a variety of modules, making it one of the most versatileaccess systems on the market. With the appropriate modules installed, theATLAS_800PLUS functions as follows:• A Frame Relay Switch• A Digital Access Cross-Connect System (DACS)• A T1 Bandwidth Manager• An ISDN Access Switch• A Remote Access ManagerATLAS 800 PLUS BASE UNITThe ATLAS_800PLUS architecture includes a packet switching and a circuit switch-ing bussing scheme. The result is a highly scalable system capable of supportingbandwidth requirements up to 34 T1/E1 or Primary Rate ISDN (PRI) circuits.Designed for standalone, rackmount, or wallmount installations, theATLAS_800PLUS Base Unit provides two network interfaces, each independentlyconfigurable for T1, DSX-1, or PRI operation. Eight expansion slots accommodatehot-swappable modules for a variety of applications. A 10BaseT connection forremote access and network management is standard with the ATLAS_800PLUSBase Unit.
