The two basic connection methods sup-ported by the ATLAS_800PLUS are a direct connection through the EIA-232 ChainIn port and a Telnet session. The following sections describe how to get startedusing both of these methods.TelnetTo connect to the ATLAS_800PLUS via Telnet, follow these steps:Define the IP AddressYou must define the IP address before attempting to connect via Telnet.1. Obtain an IP address for the ATLAS_800PLUS from your LAN administrator.2. From the front panel, select 2) CONFIG, then S0) SYSTEM, then1) ETHERNET.3. When the submenu displays, select 1) IP ADDRESS.4. Enter the IP address by entering each number followed by Enter to move tothe next field.5. Press Enter after keying in the entire IP address.Set the Subnet Mask1. Obtain a subnet mask address from your LAN administrator.2. From the front panel, select 2) CONFIG, then S0) SYSTEM, then1) ETHERNET.3. When the submenu displays, select 2) SUBNET MASK.4. Enter the subnet mask by entering each number followed by Enter to move tothe next field.5.
