The network manager collects all of thedata from the various network devices and presents it in a consistent form.SNMP TRAPSAn SNMP trap is a message sent by a network device, such as the ATLAS550, to report an operational anomaly or an alarm condition.Trap Destination ListA trap destination list contains information about sites designated to receiveSNMP traps. You can configure this list via a Telnet session or the VT-100terminal menu. The ATLAS 550 supports up to four trap destination lists. Bydefault, the destination list is empty.Configuring a Trap Destination List via the Terminal MenuTo configure the trap destination list from the terminal menu, selectS YSTEM C ONFIG/SNMP/TRAPS D ESTINATION.
