Numbering plan51System functions and features as of R3.0syd-0367/1.3 – R3.0 – 03.20133. 2. 1 Categories in the Numbering PlanThe allocation of categories to numbers and number ranges can be freely config-ured, provided a number of rules are observed. The default settings depend on thecountry.Rules for an Internal Numbering PlanNumbers are always interpreted starting from the left..The various categories must be unequivocally separated through number alloca-tion.. If, for example, the operator console has been allocated number 11, the num-bers 11n cannot be allocated to any other categories. If, however, the operator con-sole has been allocated the number 111, the numbers 112 to 119 can be allocatedother categories.Numbers within a category do not necessarily have to constitute a coherent range;instead, they can be spread over the entire number range (e.g.: user 200, 404, 550,551, ...). However, for the purposes of clarity, we recommend that you define coher-ent ranges. The number length is variable and can consist of 1 to 12 digits. Numbers with morethan 12 digits will be truncated from the right.Tab. 12 Categories in the system's numbering plan with allocated numbersCategory Number / Number RangeName Explanation Number 1) Number range ExplanationExchange access, Busi-nessCall charges are added up onthe Voice calls, business orData calls business cumulativecounter.0 Prefix, truncatedbefore dialling outinto the networkExchange access, Private Call charges are added up onthe Voice/Data calls, privatecumulative counter.10 Prefix, truncatedbefore dialling outinto the networkTransfer The operator console is storedunder this number11 –Emergency number This number is assigned anemergency number destina-tion under which three desti-nation numbers are stored(depending on the switchgroup and switch position).12 – Up to 10 emer-gency numberscan be defined, allof them assignedthe same emer-gency numberdestination.
