11. Starting up11. STARTING UPAbout this chapterThis chapter contains the switch ON and switch OFF procedures of the DPxK BLP series projector. These procedures enumerate allthe important points which have to be checked prior to switching ON the projector. This is to ensure a safe start up of the projector.Overview• Switching ON the DPxK BLP series projector• Switching OFF the DPxK BLP-series projector11.1 Switching ON the DPxK BLP series projectorThis procedure is only done when projector was HARD switched-off.How to switch on1. Make sure that the DPxK BLP series projector is installed upon a stable pedestal. See chapter "Positioning the DPxK BLP seriesprojector at port window", page 27.2. Ensure the external cooler is correctly installed. Check the connections: Tubes and electrical connections must be secure andrunning from correct cooler to correct side. Ensure the tubes and electrical cables are well protected.3. Make sure that the lens cap is removed and the correct lens is installed for your application. See chapter "Lens selection", page64.4. Make sure the projector is correctly connected to the power net. See chapter "Connecting the DPxK-17/23BLP with the powernet", page 31.5. Check if a video source is connected with the projector. See chapter "Input & communication", page 79.6. Check if the communicator touch panel is installed. See chapter "Communicator Touch Panel", page 113.7. Press the power switch to switch ON the projector. As a result the projector starts up in standby.Power switch status:- When ’0’ is visible, the projector is switched OFF.- When ’1’ is visible, the projector is switched ON.During this step some checking procedures are executed on the laser unit. The laser is OFF and the dowser closed. No internalpattern is selected.After few moments, the communicator touch panel starts its initialization procedure, then the projector status led turns Green(fix). The projector is in standby mode.8. Press the STANDBY button on the local keypad or use the Communicator Touch Panel to activate the laser.9. Press the DOWSER button on the local keypad or use the Communicator Touch Panel to open the dowser.
