If the PWR LED is not green after one minute andturns amber, there is no power redundancy. Check the power cordconnections and the power source. If there are no problems with thepower cord connections or power source and the PWR LED is still notgreen, contact the Cabletron Systems Global Call Center. Refer toSection 1.7 for details.3.6 CONNECTING TO THE NETWORKThis section provides the procedures for connecting twisted pair and fiberoptic segments from the network or other devices to the 2H22-08R.Ports 1 through 6 on the 2H22-08R have RJ45 connectors for twisted pairconnections. Ports 7 and 8 support FE-100TX, FE-100FX, or FE-100F3Fast Ethernet Interface Modules. The FE-100TX has an RJ45 connectorfor a twisted pair cable connection. The FE-100FX and FE-100F3 haveSC connectors for fiber optic cable connections.NOTEIt takes approximately one minute for the 2H22-08R to boot up.NOTEIf the 2H22-08R is being installed in a network usingSmartTrunking, there are rules concerning the network cableand port configurations that must be followed forSmartTrunking to operate properly. Before connecting thecables, refer to the Cabletron SystemsSmartTrunk User’sGuide for configuration information.NOTERefer to the Cabletron SystemsCabling Guide to make atwisted pair connection to an FE-100TX, or a fiber optic cableconnection to an FE-100FX or FE-100F3 for port slot 7 or 8.
