The TIN shows themanufacturer and plant code,tire size, and date the tire wasmanufactured. The TIN ismolded onto both sides of thetire, although only one side mayhave the date of manufacture.(E) Tire Ply Material : The typeof cord and number of plies inthe sidewall and under the tread.(F) Uniform Tire QualityGrading (UTQG) : Tiremanufacturers are requiredto grade tires based onthree performance factors:treadwear, traction, andtemperature resistance.
