Chapter 2 Setting Up 2-3Setting UpRemoving Shipping MaterialsFollow this procedure to remove the shipping materials. Keep them in case you need totransport the unit in the future:MultiPASS C75/FAX-B215C1 Remove the shippingtapes from the top ofthe unit.2 Remove the protectivepiece from the multi-purpose tray.6 Open the operation panel partiallyby gently pulling it towards you (itonly opens slightly). Then removethe protective sheet from the ADF.Close the operation panel bypressing it down from the centreuntil it locks into place.5 Open the document tray (MultiPASSmodel only), then remove the protectivesheet and shipping tapes.nThe actual shipping materials may differ in shape, quantity, and position from the ones shownabove.3 Remove the shippingtape and protectivepiece from the bottomof the unit.4 Remove the shippingtape and protectivepiece from the outputtray.7 Open the printer cover, then remove theshipping tape from the side of the unit.Close the printer cover and document tray.
