12-18 Maintenance Chapter 124 Press on the tab to release the emptyBJ tank, then remove it from its slot.• Do not remove the BJ cartridge from theMultiPASS.• Do not remove several BJ tanks together.Remove and replace each one individuallyto ensure that they are inserted in thecorrect slot. Inserting them in the wrong slotwill cause colors to print incorrectly.• If a partially used BJ tank must be removedfor some reason, keep the BJ tank installedin a BJ cartridge. Otherwise the ink will dryand adversely affect print quality.• Discard empty BJ tanks immediatelyaccording to the local laws and regulationsfor disposal of consumables.• Spilled ink can stain any surface; protectyourself and your work area.5 Remove the packing film from the newBJ tank by pulling on the orange tapeq. Then grip the bottom of the BJ tankand twist off the orange protective capin the direction shown w.• Carefully remove the packing film taking carenot to remove the label from the BJ tank.• Discard the packing film and cap.
