Mounting the DrumThe photosensitive drum is susceptable to light; if exposed to room light, it can cause whitespots or black lines on the copy images. As such, be quick in performing the following work.Step Work Remarks1 Take out the drum unit from the box,and remove the light-blocking sheet.Drum unitLight-blocking \ ^-j^- ^Vsheet i^-y^^f^^ . x.Take care not to damage the drum.2 Set the drum unit in the copier, and fix itin place using the knob that held thedummy drum.Slide the drum unit straight along the railsinto the copier3 Move the grip to clean the corona wireof the drum unit two to three times.4 Set the developing assembly in thecopier, and engage it.The front cover may be left open.5-4 COPYRIGHT© 1992 CANON INC.
