OPERATIONS AND TIMING I4. Pick-Up from MultifeederThe multifeeder pick-up roller is controlledby the main motor (M1 ).When the multifeeder paper sensor (Q1)identifies copy paper and the COPY STARTkey is pressed, the multifeeder clutch (CL2)goes ON and the pick-up roller starts torotate to pick up the paper.When the copy paper reaches theregistration roller, the multifeeder clutch(CL2) goes OFF and the pick-up roller stops.At the same time, the multifeedersolenoid (SL3) goes ON to transmit the driveof the main motor (M1) to the cammechanism, thereby lowering the multifeederholding tray to prevent dirt on the next copypaper in duplex.The multifeeder solenoid; (SL3) goes OFFas soon as the first copy paper moves pastthe pre-registration paper sensor (Q2); at thetime, the multifeeder holding tray returns tothe normal pick-up position.Note:>:/!The. deg^©';p^'MrOTiri^./foX !:pietiHUpS;5-i•from the multifeeder may be adjusted inthe service mode (CW).DC controller PCBAC Driver1CL2Multifeeder clutchGX~ V / Multi- Lyy feeder_. ^/ solenoid!=Multifeeder Multifeeder traypaper sensor(01)Holding tray-Cam mechanismClutchFigure 3-35COPYRIGHT© 1992 CANON INC.
