I INSTALLATION ID. Adding TonerStep Work RemarksRemove the door switch actuator.1011Disengage the developing assembly, andslide it until it stops.Shake the toner cartridge well.Open the developing assembly lid, and fitthe boss on the rear end of the tonercartridge into the hole of the plate on therear end of the developing assembly;thereafter, pull the toner cartridge to thefront somewhat so that it comes intocontact with the boss found on the leftside of the front.Hold the toner cartridge, and pull on theseal to the front until it stops.Tap lightly on the top of the tonercartridge until all toner has falleninto the developing assembly.Remove the toner cartridge, and keep itin an empty box.Close the developing assembly lid, andslide the assembly inside until it stops.Turn the developing assembly leverclockwise to engage it.Close the front cover.Set a blank sheet of paper (A3/1 1"x17")on the copyboard after the COPY STARTkey goes green, and make six to tencopies.The operation causes the toner inside thedeveloping assembly to be stirred.5-6 COPYRIGHT© 1992 CANON INC.
