4. Installing the Fixing Cleaning BeltThe fixing cleaning belt consists of a feeding shaft, take-up shaft, and cleaning beltconstructed as a single entity (service part). Install the fixing cleaning belt by reversingthe steps used to remove it with the following in mind:• Wind the cleaning belt two to three times around the cleaning belt take-up shaft.At this time, check to make sure that the area that will come into contact with theroller is impregnated with oil.Check to make sure that the fixing cleaning belt is not wound askew or is free fromslack and wrinkling.• After installing the fixing cleaning belt, insert a flatblade screwdriver in the fixingcleaning belt drive shaft, and turn it counterclockwise until the cleaning belt is freeof slack.Figure 6-410Reference:The fixing cleaner assembly is located above the fixing assembly and is used toclean the surface of the upper roller by keeping the cleaning belt impregnated withsilicone oil against the roller.
