Brocade Adapters Troubleshooting Guide 5353-1002145-01Adapter driver installation verification 2• For CNAs and Fabric Adapter ports configured in CNA or NIC mode, when you expandNetwork adapters, an instance of Brocade 10G Ethernet Adapter should also display foreach port installed.For example, if two two-port CNAs (total of four ports) are installed, four instances of theadapter model display (two under SCSI and RAID controllers and two under Network adapters).As another example, if only one port on a Fabric Adapter is configured in CNA or NIC mode, twoinstances of the adapter model display (one under SCSI and RAID controllers and one underNetwork adapters).If instances of your adapter model do not display, but generic instances flagged with yellowquestion marks do display under Other Devices, the driver is not installed. For example, FibreChannel Controller may display as a generic instance for an HBA or Fabric Adapter portconfigured in HBA mode.2. Right-click the Brocade adapter model where you are installing the driver.3. Select Properties to display the Properties dialog box.4. Click the Driver tab to display the driver date and version. Entries for bfa (storage driver) and bna (networkdriver) should display to indicate driver activity if the hardware and driver are installedsuccessfully.
