Switch Features 59SSH/SSLThe switch supports Secure Shell (SSH) for secure, remote connections tothe CLI and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to increase security when accessingthe Web-based management interface.For information about configuring SSH and SSL settings, see "ControllingManagement Access" on page 169.Inbound Telnet ControlYou can configure the switch to prevent new Telnet sessions from beingestablished with the switch. Additionally, the Telnet port number isconfigurable.For information about configuring inbound Telnet settings, see "ControllingManagement Access" on page 169.Denial of ServiceThe switch supports configurable Denial of Service (DoS) attack protectionfor eight different types of attacks.For information about configuring DoS settings, see "ControllingManagement Access" on page 169.Captive PortalThe Captive Portal feature blocks clients from accessing the network untiluser verification has been established. When a user attempts to connect tothe network through the switch, the user is presented with a customized Webpage that might contain username and password fields or the acceptable usepolicy.
