Non Wi-FiInterferer Descriptionexample a Microwave-like device that does not operate in the knownoperating frequencies used by the Microwave ovens may be classified as aGeneric Interferer. Similarly wide-band interfering devices may be classifiedas Generic Interferers.Channel MetricsThe channel metrics graph displays channel quality, availability and utilization metrics as seen by aspectrum monitor or hybrid AP. You can view the channel utilization data for the percentage ofeach channel that is currently being used by Wi-Fi devices, and the percentage of each channelbeing used by non Wi-Fi devices and 802.11 adjacent channel interference (ACI). This chartshows the channel availability, the percentage of each channel that is available for use, or thecurrent relative quality of selected channels in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radio bands. While spectrummonitors can display data for all channels in their selected band, hybrid APs display data for theirone monitored channel only.To view this graph, click 2.4 GHz in the Spectrum section of the dashboard.Figure 74 - Channel Metrics for the 2.4 GHz Radio ChannelTo view this graph, click 5 GHz in the Spectrum section of the dashboard.Figure 75 - Channel Metrics for the 5 GHz Radio ChannelTable 16 shows the information displayed in the channel metrics graph.Column DescriptionChannel A 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radio channel.Quality(%) Current relative quality of selected channels in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radiobands, as determined by the percentage of packet retries, the currentTable 16 - Channel MetricsDell PowerConnect W-Series Instant Access Point 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.0 | User Guide 103 | Spectrum Monitor
