The CMC software has a user account passwordprotection security feature that may be disabled if the administrator account password is forgotten. If the administrator accountpassword is forgotten, it can be recovered using the J_PWORD jumper on the CMC board.The CMC board has a two-pin password reset connector as shown in the following figure. If a jumper is installed in the resetconnector, the default administrator account and password is enabled and set to the default values of username: root andpassword: calvin. The administrator account is reset regardless if the account has been removed, or if the password waschanged.NOTE: Make sure that the CMC module is in a passive state before you begin.To perform management actions, a user with Administrator privileges is required. To prevent ESD damage, take precautions to discharge staticelectricity from your body while handling and accessing CMC outside the Chassis.2. Remove the jumper plug from the password reset connector, and insert a 2-pin jumper to enable the default administratoraccount.
