Ifyou change the hostname at a later time using Windows System Properties, you must perform the following stepsmanually to ensure that the new host name takes effect and the appliance functions properly:1. Stop AppAssure Core service2. Delete AppAssure server certificates3. Delete Core server and registry keys4. Change the display name in AppAssure5. Update trusted sites in Internet ExplorerStop AppAssure Core ServiceTo stop AppAssure Core services:1. Open Windows Server Manager.2. In the tree on the left, select Configuration → Services.3. Right-click AppAssure Core Service, and select Stop.Delete AppAssure Server CertificatesTo delete AppAssure server certificates:1. Open a command line interface.2. Type Certmgr and press .3. In the Certificate Manager window, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities → Certificates.4. Delete any certificate for which the Issue To column displays the old host name, and the Intended Purpose columndisplays Server Authentication.Delete Core Server And Registry KeysTo delete core server and registry keys:1.
