The CD automatically scans your hardware to detectdrivers and utilities used by your computer.After the CD completes the hardware scan, you can also detect otherdrivers and utilities. Under Search Criteria, select the appropriatecategories from the System Model, Operating System, and Topic pull-down menus.A link or links appear(s) for the specific drivers and utilities used byyour computer.5 Click the link of a specific driver or utility to display information aboutthe driver or utility that you want to install.6 Click the Install button (if present) to begin installing the driver orutility. At the welcome screen, follow the screen prompts to completethe installation.If no Install button is present, automatic installation is not an option.For installation instructions, either see the appropriate instructions inthe following subsections, or click the Extract button, follow theextracting instructions, and read the readme file.If instructed to navigate to the driver files, click the CD directory onthe driver information window to display the files associated with thatdriver.Reinstalling the Modem Driver1 Save and close any open files, exit any open programs, and insert theDrivers and Utilities CD.2 Click the Start button and click Control Panel.3 Under Pick a category, click Performance and Maintenance.4 Under or pick a Control Panel icon, click System.5 Click the Hardware tab.6 Click Device Manager.7 Click Modem and click the appropriate modem.8 Click Action and click Update Driver.
