Carefully transport the control to a suitable servicefacility.Removing a pole mount control from servicePerform the following steps to remove a pole mount controlfrom service:1. Open the door of the control.2. Press the MANUAL button on the front panel to placethe control in Manual mode.3. Press the TRIP button to trip (open) the capacitor bank.Explosion hazard.Move a safe distance away from the capacitor bank afterpressing the TRIP button on the control.Failure to do so may result in severe personal injury ordeath. C1103.04. Verify that the capacitor bank is tripped (open).5. Disconnect power from the control.6. If the control is connected to an external communicationdevice, disconnect the communication cable from theSelectComm communication module.7. Remove the lower lag bolt that is attaching the controlbracket to the pole.8. Loosen the upper lag bolt that is attaching the controlbracket to the pole.9. Gently lift the control off of the upper lag bolt andremove from the pole.10. If the control is not to be replaced with another control,disconnect the power to the control cables.11.
