When a Write Access Password is set serial communications access to the SC300 (usingPowerManagerII) is read only. The password must be entered before any setting can be changed. If a Write Access Password is lost, clear it from the SC300 keypad and change it via the Web.► To set a Write Access Password1 Connect to the SC300 with Web (see details on page 104).• Web: go to System > Interfaces > Remote Access Protocols > S3P.• DCTools: go to Configuration > Communications > Remote Access Protocols > S3P.2 Type a password into the Write Access Password field. Passwords are case sensitive, maximum 32 characters.3 Click the Apply Changes button.► To clear or change a Write Access Password1 Connect to the SC300 :• Web: go to System > Interfaces > Remote Access Protocols > S3P.• DCTools: go to Configuration > Communications > Remote Access Protocols > S3P.2 Type a new password into the Write Access Password field or leave the field blank for nopassword control.3 Click the Apply Changes button.► To clear a Write Access Password from the SC3001 Use SC300 keypad to go to Settings > Setup > Clear Write Access Password2 Press Enter. The password is now permanently cleared. If required, reset the password with Web.Web Access SecurityServer AccessAccess to the SC300 web server can be disabled or set for secure access using Secure SocketsLayer (SSL) protocol. SSL is a protocol for transmitting encrypted data over the Internet. URLs that require an SSLconnection start with https: instead of http:. If the network is insecure, Eaton recommends thatyou disable HTTP Access.
