The installationmust comply with the relevant regula-tions and also the local electricitysupply company requirements. Readthe instructions before installing orusing this appliance.In your own interest and that ofsafety, it is law that all gas appliancesbe installed by competent persons.Failure to install the appliance cor-rectly could invalidate any warranty orliability claims and lead to prosecu-tion.Before installation, ensure thatcooker is suitable for your gas typeand supply voltage. This appliance can be con-verted for use on other gases.Install in a well-ventilated space.Provision of VentilationThis appliance is not connected to acombustion products evacuation de-vice. It shall be installed and con-nected in accordance with current in-stallation regulations. Particular at-tention shall be given to the relevantrequirements regarding ventilation.Local regulations regarding ventila-tion must be adhered to but as a mini-mum:All rooms require an openable win-dow or equivalent, while some roomsrequire a permanent vent in additionto the openable window. The cookershould not be installed in a bedsittingroom with volume less than 20m 3 . If itis installed in a room of volume lessthan 5m 3 an air vent of effective area100cm2 is required; if it is installed ina room of volume between 5m3 and10m3 , an air vent of effective area50cm 2 is required; while if the volumeexceeds 11m3 , no air vent is required.However, if the room has a door thatopens directly to the outside, no airvent is required even when the roomvolume is between 5m 3 and 10m 3 . Ifthere are other fuel burning appli-ances in the same room, more venti-lation may be required.Location of CookerThe cooker may be installed in akitchen/kitchen diner but NOT in aroom containing a bath or shower.NOTE:An appliance for use on Liquid Petro-leum Gas must not be installed in aroom or internal space below groundlevel e.g. in a basement.You will need the following equipmentto complete the cooker installationsatisfactorilyStability BracketIf the cooker is to be supplied withgas through a flexible hose, a stabilitybracket or chain must be fitted. Thecooker manufacture does not supplythese.Gas Pressure TesterFlexible Gas HoseMust be in accordance with the rel-evant standards.Multimeter(for electrical checks)Positioning the CookerThe diagrams show the minimum rec-ommended distance from the cookerto nearby surfaces.The hotplate surround should be levelwith, or above, any adjacent worksurface. Above hotplate level a gap of75mm should be left between eachside of the cooker and any adjacentvertical surface.
