When the meter returns to taking measurements,it displays data using the default site.8.7 Viewing or Changing Security SettingsTo guard against accidental or intentional tampering, the PM880 includes apassword-based security system. The system has three security levels.Individual passcodes protect the three security levels; they consist of one toeight digits. The three levels are as follows:• User Level - allows access to the display and non-critical metersettings (such as resetting the clock).• Operator Level - allows access to most of the meter settings used toset up the meter such as probe selection and calibration data. Thislevel also allows you to delete files such as old logs and unneededsite files.• Service Level - provides access to all meter settings, and is availableto GE representatives and authorized service agents only.The backup battery maintains the file system, so that if the battery fails orthe drive is erased, the passcodes will revert to the default values.
