If you areusing a different communications software, see its manual fordetailed instructions.1. From the Start Menu, click Programs/Accessories/Hyperterminal toopen the Hyperterminal window.2. If the call is not connected, click on Connect from the Call menu inHyperterminal.3. From the File menu, click Properties. Be sure the New ConnectionProperties window is set to your virtual infrared port.Note: You can determine which virtual port your infrared is using byopening Infrared Monitor in the Control Panel and clicking on theOptions tab. It displays the message, “Providing Application Supporton:” and then lists the virtual infrared port.8.8.3b Setting Up PM8801. If the menu is not active, press [MENU].2. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Service and press [ENTER].3. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Flash Update and press [ENTER].Screen appears similar to Figure 70 on page 148.4. Press [F3] (OK) to confirm that you wish to erase the program.5. The meter asks for confirmation. Press [F3] (OK) to continue with theupdate.6. After the PM880 reboots, the meter will ask you a series of questions.Use the appropriate function key to respond, then refer to the nextsection.
