Accessories en114.5 StandbyThe appliance switches to standby mode if no functionis set or the childproof lock is activated. The standbyscreen appears if you do not implement any settingsfor a long time.Different displays can be shown in standby mode. TheGAGGENAU logo and the time are preset.In standby mode, the brightness of the control panel isreduced. The brightness of the display depends on thevertical viewing angle. You can change the display andthe brightness at any time in the basic settings→ Page 25.When "Off" is selected for the standby display in thebasic settings, you must turn the function selector toexit standby mode.When the door is open, the interior lighting switches offafter a short time.4.6 Additional informationPress to display additional information, e.g. informa-tion about the type of heating that is set or the currentcooking compartment temperature.During continuous operation after heating up, slighttemperature fluctuations are normal.The appliance displays the symbol for important in-formation and indicates that an action is required. Theappliance also occasionally displays important informa-tion about safety and the operating status automatic-ally. These messages disappear automatically after afew seconds, or press to confirm the message.For messages about Home Connect, the appliancealso displays the Home Connect status in the sym-bol.→ "Home Connect ", Page 234.7 Cooling fanThe cooling fan switches on when the appliance is inoperation. Depending on the appliance version, hot airescapes either over or beneath the door.After removing your food from the appliance, keep thedoor closed until the appliance has cooled down. Theappliance door must not be left half open as this maydamage adjacent kitchen units. The cooling fan contin-ues running for a certain period of time after the appli-ance has stopped heating and then it switches itself offautomatically.Do not cover the ventilation slots. Otherwise, the appli-ance will overheat.4.8 Rapid heatingWith the "Rapid heating" function, your appliancereaches the temperature you require particularlyquickly in the "top heat", "bottom heat" and "top + bot-tom heat" types of heating.To ensure an even cooking result, do not place yourfood in the cooking compartment until "Rapid heating"is complete and the symbol has gone out.The "Rapid heating" function is set by default in the ba-sic settings. In the basic settings → Page 25, you canselect Rapid heating or Heat-up.4.9 Automatic switch-offFor your protection, the appliance is equipped with anautomatic switch-off function. The appliance switchesoff any heating process after 12 hours if the appliancecontrols are not used during this time. The displayshows a message.When programming with the long-term timer, the appli-ance does not activate the automatic switch-off func-tion.Accessories5 AccessoriesUse original accessories. These have been made espe-cially for your appliance.Note: Accessories may become deformed if they gethot. Deformation has no effect on function.
