With the weight ofthe platen sup-ported by theobject inserted instep , use pliers towork the clevis pinretaining clip out-ward, making sureto grip it as closeto the pin as pos-sible to preventdeforming it.5. Use the pliers toremove the springclip from the pinat the base of thelinear actuator.6. Push the pinthrough the ac-tuator base towardthe inside of thegrill. Reach aroundto the inside andremove.7. Remove the LinearActuator from thegrill, carefully pull-ing it out the rear.8. Support theweight of the plat-en while removingthe pry bar. Then,carefully lowerplaten to the downposition, resting iton the grill plate.9. Turn NEW linear actuator shaft clockwiseto the end, then turn it anti-clockwise ap-proximately 2 turns, the shaft will move up.DO NOT detach or loosen clevis from shaft.Clevis pin should be parallel to actuatormotor. Procedure mentioned is critical for aproper actuator function.
