Once a destinationis selected, the unit will provide speed, course anddistance data based upon a direct course from yourpresent position to your destination. A destination canbe selected from any page with the direct-to key.“Activate?”Function FieldSelect Direct-To Waypoint PageDestinationWaypoint IdentifierFieldTo select a direct-to destination:1. Press the direct-to key. The Select Drect-ToWaypont page wll appear wth the destnatonfield hghlghted. The drect-to waypont mayalso be selected by faclty or cty name. SeeSecton 3 for more nformaton.2. Turn the small right knob to enter the firstletter of the destnaton waypont dentfier. Thedestnaton waypont may be an arport, VOR,NDB, ntersecton or user waypont, as long ast s n the database or stored n memory as auser waypont.3. Turn the large right knob to the rght to movethe cursor to the next character poston.4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to spell out the rest ofthe waypont dentfier.5. Press ENT to confirm the dentfier. The “Act-vate?” functon field wll be hghlghted.Confirm the selected direct-to destination byhighlighting “Activate?” and pressing ENT.6. Press ENT to actvate a drect-to course to theselected destnaton.Once a direct-to destination is selected,press and hold CLR to display the defaultNAV page.You can then press and hold the CLR key toreturn to the default NAV page, as desred.Direct-To Navigation
