USE AND MAINTENANCE45ENGLISHcod. 19501381 -3.9 SEEDING DISTANCE ADJUSTMENTThe lengthways seed planting distance is determined by thenumber of holes on the seed disc, by the number of teeth, by theposition of the gears on the wheel that transmits the motion tothe gear and by the gear ratio in the gearbox. On the cover of thegear-box there is a table for adjusting the seeding distance andthe table that shows the drive fitted on the gear drive wheel. To adjust the longitudinal seeding distance proceed as follows, referring to the tables on page 46:- Choose the disk to be installed on the seeders according tothe size of the seed to plant;- Check on the seeder how many pinions have teeth (wheel)indicated in the tables on page 46;- Look for the table the refers the couple of pinions like thosefitted on the seeder;- From the column of the disk chosen find the seeding distancedesired;- Move left and see on which pair of gears (A-B) to place the gearchain;- To move the chain ,open the gearbox cover and loosen thechain (1 Fig. 22) by means of the lever (2);- Place the chain on the located gears and align them (Fig. 23).- Tighten the chain again with the lever (2 Fig. 22) and close thecover.- If the seed planting distance is not obtained with the pinions(wheel) fitted on the planting unit, check with the table to see ifthey need to be replaced or have their positions reversed.3.10 SEED PLATES(*) Special for beans.(**) The seed distributor cover should be replaced by a specialone suitable for small seeds. For special requirements make a specific order. The values shown on the table are approximate. The definitechoice of seed plates is completely up to the user. Complaintsfor imprecise sowing due to utilization of improper seed plateswill not be accepted.21fig. 22fig. 23
