Be sure there is no load on theforks or attachment.2 Enter the operator's compartment and sit on theseat.3 Fasten the seat belt.4 Adjust all the mirrors. See par. “Starting theEngine” in the Operating Instructions section.FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTION TESTSKnow and understand the function tests beforegoing on to the next section.The function tests are designed to discover anymalfunctions before the machine is put into service.The operator must follow the step-by-step instructionsto test all machine functions. A malfunctioningmachine must never be used. If malfunctions arediscovered, the machine must be tagged and removedfrom service. Repairs to the machine may only bemade by a qualified service technician, according tothe manufacturer's specifications.
