Transporting The MachineCLEANING AND WASHING THE MACHINEClean the machine in accordance with the followinginstructions: Remove any oil or grease traces with a drysolvent or a volatile mineral alcohol Before assembling a new part, remove anyprotection product (rust-preventer, grease, wax etc.). Remove any trace of rust from metal partswith some emery cloth before smearing the part witha protection product (rust-preventer, paint, oil etc.).NOTICEDo not use water at high pressure for washingthe machine and especially the main valve, thesolenoid valves and electrical parts.External washingBefore washing the machine, check that the engineis shut down and the doors and windows are closed.Do not, at any times, use fuel to clean the machine.Use water or some steam. In cold climates, dry thelocks after washing or smear them with an antifreeze.Before using the machine again, check its conditions.Internal washingWash the machine interior with some water and asponge. Do not use water at high pressure. Afterwashing, dry with a clean cloth.Washing the engineBefore washing the engine, protect the air intake filterto prevent water from entering the circuit.NOTICEIf the machine shall be used in a marine orequivalent environment, protect it against saltdeposits with an adequate treatment againstsaltiness to prevent rust formation.MACHINE DISPOSALPROT ECT T H EEN V I RON M EN TAt the end of the machine life, call in a specialisedfirm to dispose of it in compliance with the localor national regulations.Battery disposalPROT ECT T H EEN V I RON M EN TUsed lead-acid batteries cannot be disposedof as normal industrial solid wastes. Becauseof the presence of harmful substances, theymust be collected, eliminated and/or recycled inaccordance with the laws of the UE.Used batteries must be kept in a dry and confinedplace. Make sure the battery is dry and the cellplugs are tight. Place a sign on the battery towarn of not using it. If before disposal the batteryis left in the open air, it will be necessary to dry,smear the box and the elements with a coat ofgrease and tighten the plugs. Do not rest thebattery on the ground; it is always advisable torest it on a pallet and cover it.
