The system canbe angled hydraulicallyranging from 18°forwards to 18° back-wards.( 0° = air vertical down )Air speed / Air vAir speed / Air vAir speed / Air vAir speed / Air vAir speed / Air volumeolumeolumeolumeolumeThe fan speed is infinitely variable and can produce from0 to 35 m/s (78 mph) air speed at the air outlet. Thisequals from 0 to 2000 m3 air/m boom/hour(3.872 CFM/A boom/hour). The air speed must beadjusted to the spray jobAdjustment ofAdjustment ofAdjustment ofAdjustment ofAdjustment of air outlet and nozzlesair outlet and nozzlesair outlet and nozzlesair outlet and nozzlesair outlet and nozzles.....The fan air speed is adjusted either at the blower or itcan be set from the tractor cabin via a remote control(optional extra).A guiding air speed can be read via the oil pressuregauge at the blower:low (L) medium (M) high (H)5-10 10-20 20-3012 m boom 60-80 80-120 120-18015 m boom 40-60 60-100 100-160470-930 930-1870 1870-2800* Based on 25 bar back pressure.Back pressure depends on tractor manufacture and series, and it may well be below 25 bar, which means that theblower r/min. and air speed could be higher than listed.NOTE! Withthis adjustment reflection of the spray liquid can beminimized as the air curtain works as a “shield” on topof the spray liquid.• When spraying high and dense covering crops (e.g.potatoes) it would be an advantage to use the sameadjustment because of the good penetration ability.• When spraying medium to high cereal crops effortsare made - considering the forward speed - to obtaina spray angle which penetrates the crop directly. Thecrop should not be deflected so much during the airinfluence that further droplet transport towards thelower parts of the crop is blocked. When driving atgenerally recommended speeds and under neutralwind conditions the best adjustment will often beslightly forwards.• It is recommended to check the spraying quality(deposit and penetration) with spray test paper.Adjusting the air assistanceAdjusting the air assistanceAdjusting the air assistanceAdjusting the air assistanceAdjusting the air assistanceThe air speed and angling must always be adjustedindividually for each spray job and the given weatherconditions. It is always a good idea to get used to a new sprayer outin a field with only water in the tank, on this occasion thefollowing routine for air adjustment should be practised:1. Start with the air vertical2. Set the air speed ............... A3. Find the best angling ......... B4. Readjust the air ..................AIMPORTANT! Fine turning of air speed and angling willoften be necessary all through the spraying job.It is easiest to find the best air setting to reduce driftwhen the sun is low and behind the boom (backlight). These conditions make the drift more visible.Oil pressure at blower (bar)*Air speedm/sBlower r/min |
