To replace a hot-swap power supply, complete the following steps:1. Review the safety information that begins on page v and “Installation guidelines”on page 20.2. Disconnect the power cord from the power supply that is to be removed.3. Press down on the orange release lever and pull the power supply out of thebay, using the handle.Hot-swap powersupplyRelease lever4. If you are instructed to return the hot-swap power supply, follow all packaginginstructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied toyou.5. Touch the static-protective package that contains the hot-swap power supply toany unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove the power supply fromthe package and place it on a static-protective surface.6. Place the power supply into the bay guides.7. Press down on the orange release lever and push the power supply toward thefront of the chassis until it locks into place.8. Connect one end of the power cord into the connector on the back of the powersupply and connect the other end of the power cord into a properly groundedelectrical outlet.9.
