ConfigurationYou can use the following configuration programs to customize the settings for theserver hardware:v Configuration/Setup Utility programThis program is part of the basic input/output system (BIOS) code that comeswith the server. You can use this program to change interrupt request (IRQ)settings, change the drive startup sequence, set the date and time, and setpasswords. For information about using this utility, see “Using theConfiguration/Setup Utility” on page 28.v SCSISelect utility programThis program is part of the basic input/output system (BIOS) code that comeswith the server. You can use this program to configure the devices that areattached to the integrated SCSI controller. Use this program to change defaultvalues, and to resolve configuration conflicts. For information about using thisutility, see “Using the SCSISelect utility program” on page 34.v PXE Boot Agent Utility programThe Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE) Boot Agent Utility program is part ofthe BIOS code that comes with the server. You can use this program to selectthe boot protocol and other boot options, to display the PXE setup prompt or todisable it, to set the prompt display duration, and to select a power managementoption. For information about using this utility, see “PXE Boot Agent Utilityprogram” on page 36Note: The RPL selection for the Boot Protocol option is not supported for thisserver.v ServerGuide CDsThe ServerGuide CDs provide software setup and installation tools that arespecifically designed for the server. Use these CDs during the initial installation ofthe server to configure basic hardware features and to simplify network operatingsystem (NOS) installation. See “Using the ServerGuide CDs” on page 57 formore information. The ServerGuide CDs also contain a collection of applicationprograms, which you can install after the server is up and running.v ServeRAID configuration programThis program comes with the optional ServeRAID adapters and with servermodels that have a ServeRAID adapter preinstalled. If the server has aServeRAID adapter installed, you must use the ServeRAID configuration programto define and configure the disk-array subsystem before you install the operatingsystem. For more information about using the ServeRAID configuration program,see “ServeRAID configuration program” on page 37 and also the ServeRAIDdocumentation that comes on the Documentation CD.v Remote Supervisor Adapter configuration processConfiguration activities are also required for the Remote Supervisor Adapter. See“Remote Supervisor Adapter” on page 38 for information about setting up andcabling the Remote Supervisor Adapter for use with an Advanced SystemManagement (ASM) network.
