Step 1520-8One of the parts that you removed or disconnected is probably defective. Install orconnect the parts one at a time in the following order to identify the failing part:1. Processor card2. Memory card(s)3. Front cooling fan4. Rear cooling fan5. SCSI backplane power cable.6. SCSI power cable(s), lowest bay to highest bay.7. Adapter cards, lowest slot to highest slot.Press the power-on switch on the operator panel to turn on the power after each part isinstalled or connected. If the system does not power on or the power does not stay on,the most recently installed or connected part is causing the failure.1. Turn off the power.2. Unplug the power cord from the system unit.3. Install or connect one of the parts in the list.4. Plug the power cord into the system unit.5. Press the start/stop switch on the operator panel to turn on the power.Does the power LED on the operator panel come on and stay on?NO Replace the last part you installed.Repeat these steps until all the parts have been installed or connected.If the symptom did not change and all the parts have been installed orconnected, call your service support person for assistance.If the symptom has changed, check for loose cards, cables, and obviousproblems.
