If the ASCII terminal or graphics display (including display adapter) is connecteddifferently than it was previously, the Console Selection screen appears andrequires that a new console be selected.5. When the keyboard indicator is displayed, press the F1 key on the directly attachedkeyboard or the number 1 key on an ASCII terminal to start the systemmanagement services.6. Enter the appropriate password if you are prompted to do so.Is the SMS screen displayed?NO One of the FRUs remaining in the system unit is defective.In the following order, exchange the FRUs that have not been exchanged:1. Go to the problem determination procedures (test procedures) for thedevice attached to the S1 serial port or the display attached to the graphicsadapter, and test that device. If a problem is found, follow the proceduresfor correcting the problem on that device.2. Graphics adapter (if installed).3. Cable (async or graphics).4. I/O board (see note 4 on page 27.)Repeat this step until the defective FRU is identified or all the FRUs have beenexchanged.If the symptom did not change and all the FRUs have been exchanged, callservice support for assistance.If the symptom changed, check for loose cards and obvious problems.
