Removing and replacing Tier 2 CRUsYou may install a Tier 2 CRU yourself or request IBM to install it, at no additionalcharge, under the type of warranty service that is designated for your server.The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.Removing the USB/video tray assemblyTo remove the USB/video tray assembly, complete the following steps:1. Read the safety information that begins on page “Safety” on page vii and“Installation guidelines” on page 33.2. Turn off the server (see “Turning off the server” on page 21) and all attachedperipheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all externalcables as necessary to replace the device.3. Slide the server out of the rack.4. Remove the server top cover (see “Removing the server top cover” on page206).5. Remove the fan cage assembly (see “Removing the fan cage assembly” on page245).6. Remove all RAID batteries or flash power modules from the USB/video trayassembly, if any are installed (see “Removing a RAID battery or flash powermodule” on page 249).7. Disconnect the USB/video tray assembly cable from the system board.8. Lift the tab on the rear of the USB/video tray assembly and the assembly; then,slide the assembly out (toward the rear of the server) of the server.USB / Video trayassembly9.
