F-3About SCSIEnabling CD Drive SupportNote: ICP SCSI RAID controllers do not support CD drives inLinux systems.If you attached a CD drive to the controller, you need to configurethe controller BIOS as follows to make the CD drive work:1 While the system is starting, press Ctrl-A when the controllerdisplays its message on the screen.2 Select SCSISelect Utility, then select Controller Configuration.3 Using the arrow keys, enable CD-ROM Boot Support andRemovable Media Devices Support.4 Press Esc until the Reboot window appears.5 Restart the computer.Mixing SE Devices with LVD DevicesIf you are mixing SE devices with LVD devices:■ Ensure proper termination by using a cable with a built-inmultimode terminator and appropriate device adapters.Observe the cable length limitations for SE (3 meter maximumbus length using up to 4 devices, 1.5 meter maximum buslength using up to 8 devices).■ Disable device termination on all SE devices.■ Put LVD and SE devices on separate channels for bestperformance.Note: If SE and LVD devices (like Ultra320) are usedtogether on the same channel, the performance of the LVDdevices is reduced to SE performance levels.
